A new browser-based media-router for collaborative performance developed by CultureHub

LiveLab is a new tool that empowers artists and arts presenters to meet, create, collaborate, rehearse, and ultimately produce multi-location performances from virtually anywhere in the world. This innovative video collaboration software expands the current field of offerings by allowing users to customize media in ways that best suit their needs.

Features

 
  • Add multiple camera and audio streams to the same session from one laptop.
  • Control your video resolution as well as audio processing options.
  • Dynamically add and remove audio and video feeds.
  • Pop out individual feeds into output windows, use with other hardware and software.
  • Use audio mixer to control master volume and output volume of individual feeds.
  • Create video switcher that allow you to switch between video feeds.
  • Chat with participants in the room.
 
 

Getting Started

 
  • Using Chrome, go to https://livelab.app/
  • Ensure the appropriate video and audio sources are selected.
  • Click ‘START’
  • Share URL address to add others to session.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Latest version of Google Chrome installed.
  • Laptop/Desktop with camera and microphone (external or internal).
  • LiveLab can also be accessed on Android phones or tablets (iOS devices not currently supported).

LiveLab is an open-source telecommunication software built on peer-to-peer connection with webRTC, with less response latency and a higher level of security compared to telecommunication products with server-based connections. LiveLab is currently in beta and your user feedback is greatly appreciated.
